Guided Trips Down The Connoquenessing Creek

Guided Recreational Kayak Trips

We offer beginning to intermediate level recreational kayak trips on the Connoquenessing, Slippery Rock and Beaver Rivers. Some trips are suitable for those who have never kayaked on a river and some trips require previous river kayaking experience. Some basic instruction is included on each trip. You can bring your own recreational kayak or rent one of ours. We can take up to 12 people on these trips. River trips are dependent upon water level and the planned trip may have to be changed to a different section if water levels are not suitable. Trips include transportation of kayaks.

Whitewater Sit-On-Top Kayak Adventures

If you would like to experience the thrill of real whitewater kayaking without the anxiety of being in the enclosed cockpit of a whitewater kayak, then a sit-on-top is for you. These kayaks are designed to give a true whitewater experience to first time kayakers on the thrilling gorges of the Connoquenessing Creek. After passing under Route 288 in Frisco the “Conni” begins its five mile descent to join the Beaver River, cutting deeper and deeper through the sandstone bedrock until 125 feet deep. Forested banks crowd out the noise and city environment. Huge formations of rocks create interesting class 2 and 3 rapids with scenery resembling McConnells Mills State Park. Historic sites along the way include a circa 1903 Hydroelectric power house and dam, cut stone viaducts, bridges and Rock Point Amusement Park, Circa 1880. Bald eagles, herons, king fishers and bank swallows are often seen and if water levels are adequate we will float beside an active eagles nest.
